This weekend went way too fast, as most of them do.
I got home Friday absolutely exhausted after a long week at work. I’m in charge of the annual week-long fundraising for JDRF and have people help me but it takes up a majority of my regular work week. We hit our goal just as I was shutting down on Friday at about 5pm so thankfully, now we can just coast for the next week until the Walk for the Cure at the Mall of America. {anyone else doing the walk on Feb 23rd?}
I met a friend, Mandy, at Good Earth at 8:30am on Saturday. I got the breakfast quesadilla.
So delicious Mandy and I ended up talking for 2 hours and then realized our time was up, she had an appointment to run to. Saturday afternoon, Carlos and I watched our nephew, Colton. When he walked into the living room, he noticed my Nook on the couch and asked if he couple play Angry Birds. I told him I didn’t have that on my Nook but he kept asking. Over and over and over.
So I downloaded it..Before I knew it, he was showing Carlos how to play! Eventually, Carlos downloaded Angry Birds on his tablet and then… I became invisible.

Colton left after a couple hours and then, I may have played Angry Birds for the next FOUR HOURS! {Okay, there were a few breaks in there to eat, go to the bathroom, and come up for air.} I think I’m just going to have to uninstall that dumb game because I can’t stop playing.
I did manage to pull myself away from Angry Birds to clean up the kitchen, sweep, clean a bathroom, and dust. In case you didn’t know, I often talk to my mom but when I dust, I always say hi to her
Her ashes were split up between me, my sisters, and my dad. I love it. Whenever I walk into the living room, I instantly feel warm and wrapped up in love; like she is there hugging me.
Carlos and I watched Skyfall and then, as I curled up in bed, I downloaded a new book to read. I feel like I’ve been reading so many books and never know what will be good so this time, decided to read a classic book: Scarlet Letter.
Sunday morning, I got in a really good workout – 2 mile run, 20 minutes elliptical + 25 minutes weights. By the time I got home, I had gone from hungry to HUNGRYANDMAD. I was so hungry, I was mad at the air! I had a fairly good dinner Saturday night (5pm-ish), but by the time I woke up, worked out and showered, it was 11:00am and the world was ending.
Carlos scooped me up and we went to a neighborhood cafe. We ordered a pancake to share (he eats the edges/outside ring + I eat the center of the pancake) and then, I got 3 eggs & some turkey sausage.
I am the cheapest breakfast date ever! $2.50 for the sausage and $3.00 for the eggs. We did some grocery shopping and then spent the rest of the day at home.
Now, it’s back to work. As the world turns, huh?!

Lol, what a cute post. I suck at Angry Birds…my 6 year old has it on all of our phones…and all of the tablets….and even for all the dang gaming systems. Aaand I think the outside ring is the best!!!! I haven’t eaten a pancake in forever…but I really want one now!!
I’ll be at the JDRF walk supporting my friend Adrienne!
Totally understand the HUNGRYANDMAD feeling, my friends and I call is HANGRY (HUNGRY/ANGRY)
We call it hangry at my house too! Always have to make sure when you’re about to bring up an issue with the Significant other, is this a real issue, or am I just hungry??
Oh man do I miss The Good Earth. That place is freaking delicious!
Invisibility…I never thought it was possible as a mother untill the ipod etc came out lol…Anyway if gives me more MEE time.
