Get Shredded and Ripped with Jillian Michaels!

I have (mostly) loved doing Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred. The workouts are short yet effective and I saw results. I noticed the best results in my shoulders and stomach area because those were two spots I didn’t focus much on with previous workouts. If you’re not familiar with the 30 Day Shred, here’s a summary:

  • Three different workout levels
  • You do each level for 10 days and then move up to the next level
  • Each level consists of three intervals and each interval consists of three minutes of strength exercises, two minutes of cardio, and one minute of abs.
  • You don’t need much space to do the workouts and as far as equipment, all you need is a mat (if you’re working out on a hard surface) and hand weights.

There aren’t many downsides but here are my big two:

  • 10 days of the same workout can get a little monotonous (tip: try alternating between the beginner and advanced moves for a little variety)
  • If you’re not a big fan of Jillian, her voice may start to annoy you (tip: mute the tv and put on some music).

So all of that being said…what’s in it for you?

I started going to they gym in January 2010 and lost about 80lbs by last summer but then my weight loss stopped and I’ve maintained for the last year. However, I noticed over the last couple of weeks I’ve actually gained about 7lbs out of my normal range and I realized it was because I have majorly slacked off over the last few months. I would love to give myself a change to get back into the swing of things and possibly get back on the weight loss track!

I’d love to win because I think this program would be perfect for getting through the plateau I’m experiencing right now. I need to lose 30 pounds, and have already lost 20 of it, but I’m stalled for the past 10 days. I’m only doing diet, basically no exercise. I heard Danny Cahil talk about Jillian and how much her training helped him on biggest loser, so I’ve been interested in checking this out for a while

i have currently lost 30lbs with another 30-40lbs to go. i live in a small town in the middle of nowhere with no gym access so i do alot of walking etc but would like change things up especially with the weather getting colder!

I would love to Win! I am trying to get something that would help me at home. I am at the beginning of my weight loss journey. I started doing weight watchers 10 weeks ago. I need to start moving more and this would be something great to give me motivation to start with. :D

I would love this as a way to stay focused on working out while inside. I run outside because absolutely hate the gym workouts and most videos that I have are low impact and boring!

Hello! I am on a journey to become a prior fat girl:) I have lost 35 pounds since having my first baby in April and sending my husband off to Afghanistan 3 days after she was born. I have another 40 or so to go to get to my goal. I would love to try out the Jillian workouts! I have about 6 weeks until my hubby comes home and the 30 day workouts could be just want I need to look great for him and feel great for me:)

Love the whole PFG team! I’d love to win these because I have the next 6 months to try and drop about 40 pounds before my husband and I try IVF. In the last year we’ve tried several IUIs with no success and all the extra hormones and stress helped me pack on the weight. I’m doing my first 5k Saturday and this would be a nice change of pace.

I have a 10 month old, the baby weight added to the weight I alread had to lose. I’ve lost all the baby weight but would love to finally lose the weight I’ve been trying to lose for years (20-40 pounds) and after having a baby I could use some toning up! This is a wonderful giveaway!! I had a kidney transplant in 2008 and had some complications since so I’m not able to work. Because of the steroids and medications, I put on about 40lb since the transplant (in addition to the 50lbs I was already overweight!) I’ve recently started to get serious about my weight loss and have begun walking but I’m at the point where I’m ready to do a little more and just recently thought about adding in a video to my routine to get moving a bit more. These would be perfect!! Since I don’t have a lot of money and can’t join a gym, it would be like having my own, personal trainer in the house!

I just had surgery last week for a partial miscarriage. This would have been my 4th child, but it was my 6th pregnancy overall since I’ve had 2 past miscarriages. I had been determined to make this my healthiest pregnancy ever, & now that the baby is gone, I’ve been eating my grief big-time. I enjoy lots of different workouts but I’ve never tried Jillian. I figure once I have the ok to exercise again, maybe Jillian can get me more excited about the process again.
