After last Monday’s acknowledgement of my weight, I knew I needed to step up to the plate. I was the one who could change the course I was on. I could either allow myself to continue to wander or I could do what I knew needed to be done. And I knew what I needed to do.
I kept up with my workouts this week:
I also took responsibility for my eating. I made an active attempt to record everything I ate, no matter how large or small of an amount. I worked to be conscious of my snacking. This morning, I woke up and the scale reflected my week of being conscious:
Three pounds. Part of that is probably sodium. Sodium can often creep up on me. While I don’t go sodium free, when I work at being conscious of what I’m eating, sodium levels aren’t through the roof.
My goal this week is to continue to fight, record and hit the gym. I got our meal planning done for the week and also prepped for lunches this week. I’m having pizza for lunch and am looking forward to it. I’m determined to get my weight back within a healthy range (I’d like mid 140′s) and to continue to work with my therapist on the root of my struggles.

Horray!! Its so nice when our efforts are reflected on the scale
good job hun!!
Sodium is my enemy as well. All of those “diet” frozen meals are so sodium-laden! There’s hardly a way to eat quick and stay in the program. Good job, Jen. Way to remember that this is long-term, not gimmicky. It’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle.
I’m glad to see things are going in the right direction. I also like that you didn’t play the victim card, and took responsibility for it and made the changes necessary. things like THIS is why you inspire me..
AWESOME work my friend! You are on the right track!
Way to go Jen!! You totally rock!! I, too, am going to be stepping up my game here… been going back and forth around the same 5 lbs for 4 mos. now & it’s about time I start losing weight again!!
Best wishes to you for the week!! You ARE doing this ~ living life…not just dieting!
(((((hugs)))))
Way to go, Jen! Keep it up…
Cheers~

Great job! I myself was tracking this week, and found myself so irritated that I had to write down every little thing…keep up the good work!
Hurrah!!!!
I felt your pain last Monday, however, it has taken me a full week to get my brain right. I’m going strong now. Goal weight is 150 or less. Weight today is 175.4. Wow. That’s a lot. I never want to be 210 again, so I’m taking control today. Thanks for the inspiration!
Good to hear you’re back on track and have had a really good week. Awesome!
Great job on the weight loss! Tracking really works for me…helps keep you accountable.
