Thank you all so much for your comments on the Blogging Responsibility post – I really appreciate it. I never doubt your appreciation for me sharing my journey and never doubt your support in me being me. I never questioned whether I could be me but at some point, I wonder if I need to be careful of my actions because of the fact that people do look at me as a role-model. Anyway — it is such a huge subject, we could go on and on and on!
Wednesday morning I woke up early and went for a run w/ Jen. Or attempted to run? Both of us were so sore from our weight lifting it was all we could do to crank out 3 miles – my hams were killingmesoftly! Want to know something funny that happened? I came home from our run, sat down on the couch and woke up 30 minutes later! Apparently I was so so tired! All day yesterday I tried to non-obviously stretch them. Jen and I met again this morning, along with our friend Meghan, to get in 5-to-6 miles.
Oh, before I forget, any locals want to do 8:30am-9:30am yoga with me on Saturday? It is FREE, confirmed no reservation needed and is for beginners. Check out THIS link for more information.
I have a few posts to catch you up on throughout today and tomorrow:
- video tour of house (light at the end of the tunnel)
- weigh-in
- Sweat is beautiful post
- weekend plans
I’m going to forgo my regular AM schedule and just start posting as I type them so stay tuned for an update from me, okay? Monday I should be back into my regular wake up, blog & have coffee, shower routine but for now, I’m all over the place! In the mean time, I wanted to share a few quotes that I’ve read over the past couple of weeks that have really sunk in with me.
Seriously, right? Makes you stop and think. I found these all on Pinterest which is a highly addictive place to create an account so only look if you are 1) a visual person and 2) have a lot of time on your hands.
What are some of your favorite quotes that keep you going when you have run out of energy, oomph, motivation and inspriation?
P.S., it’s almost back-to-school time which means Halloween, which means Thanksgiving which means CHRISTMAS!! I cannot wait for the holiday season, I wish it could be November and December all the time!

I love the 2nd one, saw that today on pinterest as well. I so needed to see the other quotes today too. Getting started (or re-starting) is always the hardest part. Thanks for sharing.
I really like this one too. “I may not be there yet, but I’m closer than I was yesterday.”
The binge one is so true
Argh it’s still August! But actually you are completely right. This time of year goes so fast!
Loved those quotes! What’s with the clock? Putting more minutes into each hour? Sure could use that! Two of my favorite motivational quotes are, “I may jog slowly, but I’m faster than someone sitting on the couch,” and “I don’t need easy. I just need possible.” That last one is from Bethany Hamilton in Soul Surfer.
I love Pinterest!!! It’s my new favorite addiction. I was hoping COREPOWER Yoga had free outdoor yoga this Saturday morning, but alas, they do not. So I love that I saw this post because I’m going to join you at free yoga for sure!
Oh don’t say that F-A-L-L word! Felt like it here this morning, brrrr, but I’m just not ready for it!
Nice sayings – so true too! Wow.
Dawn
My latest favorite quote, “If something is important to you, you’ll find a way. If it isn’t, you’ll find an excuse.” Applies to so many aspects of life, don’t you think?
Oooh I love Christmas too. The whole Christmas season is wonderful and magical. But I HATE January and February. I’m secretly hoping for a ridiculously long Fall season and then the first snow falling the week before Christmas. Get my white Christmas in and then it can ALL MELT on January 2nd and bring back some 50 degree weather (heck, I would take 40s in January!)
I’ve seen all of these on pinterest and have a few of them pinned in my “healthy” folder. Haven’t seen the 30 minutes from now you’ll forget…one though and I needed that! Thanks for sharing.
I blogged my favorite mantra’s on Monday, which are:
“I can either wear what I want, or eat what I want, but I can’t do both.” AND
“It’s hard to be fat and it’s hard to be on a diet. Choose your hard.”
My dad always used to tell me this quote and I’ve carried it with me for life. “Reach for the highest, strive for the best, live day to day, and to God leave the rest.”
I can’t wait for fall. It’s my favorite season with going apple picking and hay rides and bon fires on crisp nights. I also love the holidays as well. Once it turns September I refer to it as the “ber” months and they are my favorite!
Thanks for all the quotes as well. Being that I do have problems with the whole eating too much food, the binge one really hit a spot with me!
Hi Jen,
If it turns out to be nice weather, there is also an outdoor yoga class at Lake Calhoun at 9:30 am. Its taught by Yoga Center of Minneapolis and it costs “Whatever you can donate”. I am going to try and make this one!
Here are the details: https://clients.mindbodyonline.com/ASP/home.asp?studioid=6303
thanks Dori! I’m meeting a friend for a 7am run and then heading to the 8:30am but let me know the next free yoga you do, I’d love to go with!
I love those quotes. I will be using them.
And I don’t like holidays. Any of them. I know, apparently it’s some kind of crazy talk or against nature to be anti-holidays. Shrug, I’m cool with being different.
I am seriously obsessed with the holidays! I watched a Christmas carol the other night on a whim and immediately wanted it to be Christmas time!
Love all the quotes! They are so true.
