Onward and Upward

Well hello there, long lost loves! Amanda here πŸ™‚

As you’ve probably noticed, I went MIA from the blogworld. I haven’t gained all my weight back or stopped working out; I’ve just been living.

Blogging helped me stay accountable when I needed it most, but I just don’t require it anymore. Being healthy is an innate part of me now. I eat healthfully most of the time and stay active because I want to and it makes me feel amazing. I get excited about making delicious fruit and spinach smoothies every day. I seek out new workout classes and races because they energize me and keep things fresh. This is my life, and I love it.

Thank you for reading, commenting, and, most of all, supporting and encouraging me along the way. It’s quite amazing how people you might not have even met can have such a positive impact on your life. You’ve changed me for the better and helped me more than you know.

If you’ve happened upon my musings for the first time, I urge you to go back and read my previous posts. I do it from time to time and am reminded of how far I’ve come since my first post. Of course I love how my body has changed in the past few years, but I’m even happier about the mental transformation. This truly is a wonderful, sustainable lifestyle.

I’m kickboxing my way into a bright future, and I’m eager to see what’s in store for me!

And she lived happily ever after.

  1. Amanda, I really have no words to convey how truly appreciative I am that you’ve shared your journey with me, and with the readers. I cannot believe how far we’ve come since Northland Drive.

Besides just being a part of this blog & sharing, thank you for being such an amazing role model in healthiness. You are amazing.

  2. I’m SO GLAD to have seen your update that you are doing well! You were (and are) such an inspiration, and I love going back to read your blogs about reaching your goal weight, and how amazing you felt. Thank you for continuing to motivate me! πŸ™‚

  3. So Glad to see a post from you! Jen said at the last PFG get together that we all have tools, like food journaling, blogging, cookbooks, etc that are all resources.
We use them as we need them as put them back on the shelves as we don’t. So as your blog now sits as a chronical of your hard work where you have come from, it is still a tool. Always there if you need it.

Congrats on your goal weight! I hope you still wander back and keep us updated! I personally love to see that you are still living the reality!

  4. I’m really going to miss your posts Amanda! I liked the fact that you’re a vegetarian losing weight. Good luck and happy trails to you on your journey πŸ™‚
