Can I get a “Woo-Hoo!!”…? :)

by Lindsay, another priorfatgirl on May 5, 2010

Today has been a good day. Busy, but good. I’ve been working an extra hour everyday this week so I can take a half day on Friday without using PTO – so I’m been trying to get more done because of the extra hour… sometimes it works, sometimes, it doesn’t. ;)

I work at a University in Enrollment Services (aka ES). I’ve been here for almost 6 months. I LOVE IT HERE. Anyways, today was ES Quarterly Awards Recognition. Guess who won the Rookie Award for Q1….? Yeah… that would be ME! :) I’m pretty proud. I’m a pretty competitive person, so I like… “out doing” others. But I’m not rude about it, I just like to be the best that I can be. :) Haha And, well, in Q1 – I WAS the best Rookie. :)

Actually, I was one of the top 5 performers overall, Rookie or not… so that was pretty cool. I’m having a good day.

Eating has even been good today too. Very much in control today, I feel good. I did have some chips and guac at the awards ceremony – it IS Cinco De Mayo after all.. ;) I didn’t feel too bad about it since I’ve only eaten about 600 calories today AND I’m going to the gym after work with Adam.

I also have a new goal in mind. I recently stumbled across Trainer Momma and I LOVE HER BLOG. She’s a personal trainer and in scanning all of her posts (yes, all of them) I found that she challengers her clients to drink a gallon of water a day. That’s 128 ounces. I already drink 96 ounces a day, so my newest goal is to just up it by 32 ounces and drink a gallon everyday. So far today, I’ve got 96 ounces down. This will be easy peasy. ;)

HRM… AGAIN!
I’ve blogged about this numerous times. But, I think it’s about time I take the plunge. I REALLY want a HRM. I think it would be super beneficial. THIS is the one I think that I want. It’s the Polar FT4. I don’t know why I’m so “on the fence” about just getting one. I think I’m a littler nervous I won’t get my moneys worth, but realistically, I think I would wear it for every work out. I’m dying to get an accurate reading of calories burned from my work out, especially when I weight train. I’m totally clueless as to how much I’m burning during my weight training and my training with Ramone. I think it’s time I just “man up” and get one.

Tell me… which HRM do YOU have…? Pros/Cons? Love/Hate? Let me know! I want to make an informed purchase.

Well friends, thanks for reading – I appreciate your feedback! You guys are the best. :)
