Nice > Mean

I am blown away by all of the very, very kind comments on my post yesterday. It simply just goes to show that the nice, supportive people reading this blog heavily outweigh the not-so-nice people. Through your comments, it’s abundantly clear that the majority (is it safe to say… all….?) of us do struggle. I’m honest with my struggles and it seems as though a lot of you can relate with that. We’re all on our own journeys, some are shorter, some are longer… but we’ll all get there if we just keep putting one foot in front of the other. That’s exactly what I intend to do. Thank you guys for cheering me up. :)

Last night I hit the gym for my personal training session with Ramone. Legs day. Crud. I’m not a fan of legs days… probably due to the fact that I won’t be able to walk for a couple of day. But, hey, no pain, no gain… right? As Ramone says (over and over and over :) “c’mon, you can do this! Pain is only temporary! It’s almost done!” I usually come back with a smart-ass little comment like, “not when it’s going to last for the next 3 days!” Haha! I usually get a few chuckles out of him during my half hour. :)

So, my legs workout started out on the leg press. The dreaded leg press. I had to do this awful thing where I did 12 reps, then he’s remove some weight, 12 more reps, remove some weight, and on and on, you get it.. until I was down to just the 45 lb. plate… then I had to do as many as I can for 30 seconds… as fast as I can. THEN, 12 reps, ADD weight, 12 reps, add weight. It was killer. But get this… at the highest weight, I was leg pressing about 410 lbs!!! Holy schnikes. That’s A LOT! And as much as I hated it, it also made me pretty darn proud. :)

After my 30 minute session with Ramone, I headed upstairs for an easy 30 minutes on the elliptical. I kept my heart rate in “my zone” (well, according to the machine and who really knows how accurate those are!) for 26 out of my 35 minutes. Not too bad. Not to mention, I burned a few hundred more calories (again, according to the machine, who knows about the accuracy). I had a really good session at the gym. I felt great after my 60 minutes… and this time, I only came back to nice e-mails of blogger comments, thanks to you guys. :)

Last night, after the gym, dinner was breakfast. :) I had some scrambled eggs and a bagel thin with Laughing Cow Cheese. DEEEELISH! I forgot how much I love breakfast food at dinner time. WAY more than I like it in the morning, I think… :)

Well, I’m out of here. Thank you guys again for being so supportive, inspiring, encouraging, the list goes on and on… you guys rock, period. :)

Weigh In Results
Last week: 212.6
This week: 213.4
Gain/Loss: +0.8
Total gain/loss: -12.2

Still truckin’ along. I’m not upset about the .8 gain this week, escpecially considering I had a major loss last week (-3.2). Today is a new day. :)

Oh! And just for fun, check out the attached video. My dog is adorable! :)

I think he was tired out… no? :)
