Hello Sunday readers! I was going to get in a couple hours of blogging this morning and just now realized we sprung ahead last night and I really actually don’t have as much time as I thought. Today baby Colton is being dedicated so we are going to church. I did take some pictures from this weekend & though I’d share.
Friday night, Carlos and I went over to my sister Heidi’s and her husband Dan’s. I ate pizza, a couple of girl scout cookies and 2 glasses of wine.
There was some scrabble playage.
I was in the lead the entire time…until we got to the end
and there were no more tiles left. I ran out of moves
and at the last possible moment, Dan pulled ahead
and walked away a winner. Exciting – I know.
Saturday morning we woke up and
Alicia (my sister) made pancakes.
Chocolate chip pancakes to be exact. I may have
One of my breakfast dates,
Colton (with his just.woke.up.bed.head.)
After breakfast, Carlos, my dad and I all piled into the car to go look at houses. For 5 hours. It was INTENSE. So many houses, they all started to glaze together. We didn’t find anything we loved though – there were some houses that we loved the inside, not the outside. Some that we loved the outside, not the inside. And others yet that we loved both the outside & inside but there was standing water in the basement and it was in a bad neighborhood (bad meaning 5+ police cars a block away).
House hunting made us hungry so we
went to the Modern Cafe in northeast Minneapolis.
I got the 2 slices of Banana & Nut French Toast.
It tasted just as good as it looks. And I just realized now
it was only suppose to be 2 but I got 3. And guess what?
I ate all of it. Except for 1/3 of the last one. So sad. I ate because
it was good and not because I was hungry.
After our 2nd breakfast, we rushed home because I had a candle party at 2pm. I didn’t get home from the party until about 6pm. After taking Iggy out, talking with my dad for a bit and getting lost in facebook, Carlos left to go play poker. By 8pm, I grabbed my laptop and was in bed watching a movie (or read falling asleep).
This morning I woke up and had
old-fashioned banana nut oatmeal. It was yum.
And now I must quickly jump in the shower and
get ready for church. I haven’t worked out this weekend
yet so am going to get a workout in this afternoon.
How is your weekend going?
