well ain’t that a bummer. Since last Thursday, I’ve gotten multiple emails, Facebook messages and Tweets from friends who are having problems accessing my blog. I’ve consulted multiple IT people and I really have no clue what is going on. So I’m coming to ya’ll.
The mission:
By accepting this mission, you agree to rack your brain in trying to figure out why certain readers cannot access the blog.
The clues:
- Through different lenses: users are attempting to view site using Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari.
- Now you see me, now you don’t: users who are experiencing problems can see www.priorfatgirl.com via their Google Reader but aren’t able to visit www.priorfatgirl.com directly.
- Skip the cookies: I’ve asked multiple readers to clean their cache & delete any cookies they have. Nada.
- It’s all in the numbers: Readership has dropped by about 1/5. Not huge but noticeable.

Email me, twitter me, facebook me, whatev! Ya’ll know how to reach me.

Maybe you could simply print out copies of your blog and mail them to all your readers. Does that win me the prize?
Hmm…this is a puzzle. I assume that you aren't having this site hosted anywhere else except blogspot even though you have your own URL alias (hosted by godaddy right?). I don't know if you are saying that litterally typing in http://www.priorfatgirl.com into a browser results in a 404 error or not…more information would be helpful.
I assume you've gone to your webmaster tools at https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/home?hl=en to see if you are having any site errors.
I, myself, am having no issue with either IE or Google Chrome.
Have you done any custom edits to your HTML template for your blog? There is a chance that you've altered some of addressing information confusing search engines about your actual address.

I'm not having any issues with it either. I read through google reader but I clicked on it just to check and it worked fine in google chrome. I know this isn't helpful, but I'm letting you know!
I have no idea! I use google chrome and i haven't had any problems.
I can read it great from home on my MacBook using Firefox.
I can get on it at work using an older version of Internet Explorer, but I can only see the pics because the background ends up being black with the words on top of that in black also.
I can't help you, but maybe knowing what I'm experiencing will help.
Lots of people w/blogger blogs are having trouble this week, especially with uploaded images.
I see your twitter button is messed up, too. So was mine – so Iwent to the site and picked a new one and changed my code. That fixes it right away. Hang in there!!!
i accessed your blog straight from facebook link. maybe it's a hosting problem or something w the ftp upload…have you made any changes to it lately? i don't know…just some ideas.

I can view your site from Firefox and GReader. If your followers have added any new type of security or firewall recently then that may be the problem. PeerGuardian2 blocks a bunch of sites for me unless I have all http enabled.
I've heard a lot of people with blogger blogs aer having mad issues this week.
Another thing to ask people is what ISP or type of internet they are using. It could be an issue at the ISP level (maybe if they're all using roadrunner for example.)
Ive not had a problem accessing the blog at all.
I can see it just fine on Safari… I have noticed blogger is having some issues lately. Wish I could think of a plausible solution…. Good luck from 1/2 the cake sucks team!

you're blog is the only one I am having problems with.
I can't get in and when I do it's through troubleshooting. I can read you in google reader but very rarely am I able to come and comment here. This is why I have been missing in action

This is probably no help, but I have no issues in Chrome, Internet Explorer, or Firefox.
I hope one of your computer savy readers figures this out. I haven't had any problems with access using IE. Good luck getting the bugs out.
FYI: I recently updated Java and noticed they wanted to add some sort of security backup along with their updates. I opted out but it might be something to look into.
No solution for you but I just wanted to let you know when I read your blog on my PC (www.priorfatgirl.com), I have no issues. But when I try and view it on my iPod, all I ever see are your header and the bold red headlines.
Maybe that'll lead you somewhere. I'm so not tech savy.
I have had zero issues with your blog, lady friend. I am using Safari on my Macbook. So… I don't know. =/
