Friday Fun!

Hey, hey! Happy Friday! I have a couple of exciting things to report and I just can’t wait any longer, so here goes..

Friday = weigh in day. This week, I lost 3.2 pounds!! THREE POINT TWO! That’s grreeeeat! I broke through and my weight is going back down! This morning I was at 215.2. This is the least I’ve weighed since I started this journey! :) The last time I weighed this was in December and since then, I’ve just been gaining and losing the same few pounds. Totally frustrating. But completely my fault. I wasn’t being diligent in my tracking and look at that.. I start tracking again, really tracking, and my weight begins to go back down. What a freakin’ concept! I feel great.
Here’s me today, at 215.2.

My other announcement… I went to the gym last night. Well, that’s not anything profound – I go to the gym every Thursday! After work, I decided to make myself some dinner (Adam was working late) and take Dexter for a walk. After that, Adam called and said he was on his way home, so I decided to make him dinner too. By this time, it was about 7:30. By 8:00, I really, really didn’t want to go to the gym. I whined a little bit, then dragged my ass upstairs and changed into my workout clothes and just went. Success!

While at the gym, I decided to go cardio, since I’ve been kind of neglecting it lately. I hopped on the elliptical and initially put in 30 minutes. 45 minutes later, I decided I should head some so I could shower and get ready for bed. I did 45 minutes and it really wasn’t too bad! Remember how I told you the other day I was proud of doing 30 minutes (I believe it was) – now I’m doing 45 and could have easily done more. It just feels so GOOD!

Here’s the one thing that drives me crazy about not having a heart rate monitor. Here are the stats from my work out last night:
Minutes: 45
Distance: 3.36 miles
Calories Burned: 514

See… I somehow seriously doubt that I burned 514 calories! I mean, I know I’m a chunky chick, but really, 514 is A LOT. I wonder how accurate those things really are. I think I have officially decided that I want a heart rate monitor for when I work out… maybe I will make that one of the “weight loss goals” – which I haven’t set yet, but I always like a little extra motivation. :)

Well, that’s it from me for today. I am going out to lunch with Sheena today for my “referral lunch”. She referred me for the job that I have now and she made a pretty penny off of the referral, so she’s being a doll and taking me out to lunch. What a great gal. I promise, I will track my calories!
