Working out on the weekends.

by Jen, a priorfatgirl on February 26, 2010

Since tomorrow is the PriorFatGirl & Future PriorFatGirl Get-together, Lindsay, another priorfatgirl and her boyfriend Adam came over tonight. I needed some help putting some goodie bags together and roped Lindsay, another priorfatgirl into it.

For her compensation, I bribed her with pizza. Do you ever eat at Papa Murphy’s? They have these DeLite Pizza’s (I’ve mentioned them before) which claim to be 40% fewer calories and 30% less fat than regular pizza because they cut back a little on the toppings. Even though they cut back on the toppings, you CAN’T EVEN TELL!

We got a veggie pizza and a chicken & artichoke pizza.

Come on…you know me, I topped it with a
little Franks Red Hot Sauce. YUM!

Ready to eat…

I had one of each and was so satisfied! If I’m
gonna eat pizza, I allow myself these delight
pizza. Its so good and I don’t feel guilty at all.

After pizza, Lindsay and I got down to business. We had 40 goodie bags to put together with product from a ton of sponsors. We had to make an assembly line and get down to some serious business.

Where’s Lindsay?

There may have been a little left over after our goodie bags were put together so expect to see some coming your way in the next couple of weeks!

Weekend Plans
One HUGE plan. Tomorrow morning. I can’t wait!! After that, I have a baby shower to go to and then I can come home and relax. I am going to do whatever I can do to convince Carlos (and convince myself) to stay home and do nothing tomorrow night because I could really use some serious rest & relaxation. Although I’m pretty sure the minute I stop and just sit for a moment, I’ll fall asleep.

Besides those two events on Saturday, I plan on going to the gym both Saturday and Sunday to get some calorie burnage going. Expect a sweaty picture from me and some others from around the world! They are coming in and I love them!

Do you work out on the weekends or
are Saturday & Sunday your “day off?”

Oh…and, one more picture of Iggy for you. Just to get you through the weekend. Remember I said Iggy has been monitoring my computer usage and proof reading my blog posts? I’m so not kidding!

Iggy proof reading my blog posts.

So…if you have any comments related to my grammer or spelling errors, direct them to Iggy cause I surly did not graduate in writing or English.

Have a great weekend everyone!

I love working out on the weekends because I have time to spend and I'm not rushing to get done…I actually enjoy it more! Sometimes I also play Catch-up on the weekend from being too tired during the week:/ For exampl, this Saturday I have a 2-mile run, power yoga and some strength training planned:) I will probably space these out, however!!!

So wish I could be there Jen!! Hope it all goes well, I know it will!

I usually just go on longer walks with the dog no the weekends, or maybe my daughter and I will head to the gym, but only one day, not both!

Have an awesome weekend and can't wait for the recap on Monday!

I like working out on the weekends because I have more time and don't feel rushed. It's after work that I HATE going to the gym!

I love the chicken & artichoke pizza from Papa Murphy's; its about the only pizza I splurge for anymore.

Weekends are my favorite days to go to the gym. I can spend more time & not have to worry about rushing on to the next activity.

Have a great weekend!

I have finally perfected my homemade whole wheat pizza with low fat mozz. Yum!

I usually do a hard workout on one day of the weekend, and on the other day I either rest or try something new. This winter it has been snowshoeing and sledding and this spring it will be manual labor as I help renovate our family's cabin.

I wish I was going to the event this weekend just so I could meet a bunch of awesome Minneapolis/MN/Midwest bloggers!! (OK.. I wouldn't mind the swag either ;) )

I have practice in the morning and a job interview in the afternoon, so I'll be plenty busy, but I hope you guys have an awesome time!

I usually just do a light workout Saturday ( like an hour of elliptical) and then let Sunday be my day off!

Have fun this weekend! It sounds like a blast!

You have to try the garlic herb mediterianian(I'm sure I spelled that wrong, but I'm too lazy to look it up!) pizza from Papa Murphys. It is delish!

Oh, I so wish I could have been there!

I work out every day…in fact, yesterday was the first day I had "off" in quite a while. But I almost always workout on the weekends…

I like weekend workouts because I make them longer and/or more intense!

That pizza just looks soooo good! Weekends are downright "off days" for me. I just love staying at home, taking a nap, hanging out on the lappy, or talking to friends.
