Hey friends! How was your weekend? Mine was pretty good. Saturday was a busy day. Adam and I had to bring the cat to the vet Saturday morning. That was frustrating. Why? Because we had an 11am appointment time – we get there a few minutes before 11am and the doctor didn’t come in to see us until near 11:40am! We sat there in the room for 40 minutes. What a pain. Urg. Rant over. Afterwards, Adam and I met up with my good friend Jesse and his girlfriend, Hayley for lunch. Don Pablo’s – let me just say, I wasn’t very good..
Later on that evening, I attended a “Girls Night In” with several of my college friends/sorority sisters. That was A LOT of fun. The girls hosting it, surprised us with a visit from a Pure Romance consultant. If you haven’t heard of Pure Romance.. it’s…. um… adult things. Haha! It was a good time, entertaining, if nothing else. I always have fun with those girls.
Sunday was a lazy day that included a movie and dinner at my parents… and not much else. Glorious.
So, I’ve been thinking lately about how I haven’t lost much weight since… well, forever. Total, I’ve lost just shy of 10 pounds. This is the embarrassing part: since JUNE! (well, August is when I started counting calories… but still!) How lame am I!? Haha I need to step it up, obviously.
So, here’s the thing. My “plan” if you will. Stick to my calories, drink my water, move my body. Shocking! It’s so simple, so why do we make it so hard? Because of course it’s easier to just eat whatever we want, whenever we want to. But it’s NOT easier not being able to fit into any of my pants. I need to re-discover my motivation. I am going to focus on a smaller picture. I am going to focus on Today. Count my calories, today. Get in my water, today. Move my body, today. I’ll deal with tomorrow when it gets here.
Now, here is where I ask for your help. Which I think I have asked you guys before… but I’m asking again. I need lunch ideas. I am so, so, so tired of frozen meals. I mean, sure, a frozen meal here and there is no big deal, but lately… it’s been my go to lunch. Blech.
What are your favorite lunches?
I’m meeting with my trainer tonight for what I’m sure will be a killer leg routine. Here’s to hoping I can walk in the days following today!
