Cuties R4 EVERYONE

by Jen, a priorfatgirl on February 24, 2010

Internal conflict discussion time. I’ve allowed Iggy to become my excuse.

He is after all, so freaken’ adorable!

Like my own little living teddy bear!

A cuddly little guy who in his current stage,
loves to eat anything whether or not its considered edible.

An adorable ball of love who gets so excited while
I’m home. He loves when I chase him around the
table and can play fetch for hours! And if I’m working
on my laptop, Iggy quietly (sometimes) sits behind me
watching for spelling errors.

So you see, my internal conflict comes when I have to leave him. It rips my heart to put him in the kitchen and put up the gate. And to be honest, there have been times in the past month+ where I have decided not to go the gym because I didn’t wanna lock him up. Sometimes I’d opt to do a workout at home, sometimes not. Last night was another heart break session.

I really wanted to go to yoga but couldn’t bear to lock him up after being locked up all day while Carlos and I were at work. (Carlos plays pool after work on Tuesdays and gets home late.) So in order for me to go to yoga, I had to leave Iggy alone for 1.5 hours.

Iggy cries so much, he just wants me to play with him.

Look at his little nose sticking through the gate!

I’m pretty sure that’s a tear in his left eye!

I’m thinking many of you have this same struggle if you have
kids, you may feel guilty for leaving them all day and then
again at night time while you work out.
How do you get over this?
I went to yoga and rushed home to find Iggy waiting for me, wagging his tail because he was so excited I came back to play with me. My friend Jen confirmed… “Great thing about doggies, they always love you!
Booyah!
Okay, lemme turn this post around and try to add some positive happiness talk ’round here. Ever since Amanda, another priorfatgirl bragged about her being able to peel an entire clemtine in one piece, I’ve dreamed of doing it myself. I’ve tried, although I have to be honest here and admit that most of the times I’m holding a clementine I can barely contain my enthusiasm and rip into it as fast as I can.
But not this time.
Booyah baby!
Oh yeah! What do you think about
that? Now I’m a part of the cool
I.can.peel.a.clementine.in.one.piece club!
The sticker says “Cuties R4 KIDS”

I call BULL SHITE. What kind of lame marketing crap is
that?! I wanna state right here, right now that…
Cuties R4 EVERYONE!
P.S. Iggy supervised this post and is responsible for spelling errors & incorrect apostrophe use. For concerns regarding my grammar and us of punctuation, email him at iggy@priorfatgirl.com and we’ll see what he can do about it.
