Monday’s definitely come too soon, know huh?! How was your weekend? Ours was a little crazy but lotsa fun!
Friday night we had some friends over. My friend Michelle came a little early and we got our aprons on so we could make Hungry Girl Daiquiri‘s and Hungry Girl Boneless Chicken Wings. Both the daiquiri’s and the boneless chicken wings were delish!
Both the boneless wings and the daiquiri’s were DELISH!
There was a little Wii boxing and some poker 101 going on.
The main event…a poker game!
I had on my poker face & took everyone’s money, oh yeah!
After everyone left, I started picking at the left over food. I maybe had a little too much alcohol and one thing has become obvious (for me, probably some of you too) is that when I drink, I lose all sense of “healthy” eating. I started picking at these DELISH cookies someone left and Carlos noticed. Get this…Carlos doesn’t eat sweets! He’ll have meat & potato’s any day but just isn’t a fan of anything sugary, chocolaty and sweet. Crazy huh?
Anyways, Carlos saw me picking at the
cookies and knew that if I really did eat
them, I would wake up Saturday frustrated,
so he grabbed the container and threw
them under the water!
I of course grabbed the camera!
WAY TO SAVE THE DAY CARLOS!!!!! Tough love!
Really truly though, I’m glad he did that because chances were
I would have eaten them all by the time the weekend was over.
Better to have soggy cookies then cookie hips!
Now…another friend left a bag of this new, limited edition
Chex Mix called Muddy Buddies. AKA, puppy chow.
Have you had this before? Many of you have probably made it at home. It’s chex cereal covered in peanut butter & chocolate and then coated with powdered sugar. I knew I should have put water on them too but nooooooo……instead, I had some for breakfast on Saturday and by Sunday night, the WHOLE BAG WAS GONE!
For a list of foods you should add to your
shopping list, check out THIS blog. YUM!
Sunday, for the Vikings/New Orleans football game,
we went over to my sister’s in-laws. We brought
a cheese & crack tray…Carlos made it
Monday
I’m really excited about today. Why? Well, I finally got my Core Fusion DVD I bought a couple weeks ago. Core Fusion, if you haven’t heard, “fuses the disciplines of core conditioning, Pilates, the Lotte Berk Method, interval cardio training, and yoga.”
My bestest New York friend, Dori is doing a Core Fusion 30 day challenge and as I’ve read about it the past couple of weeks have become increasingly envious of the amazing workouts she’s talked about. Since there is no studio close by, the DVD was the next best thing.
I was planning on waking up this morning to do it but my alarm didn’t go off. I’m not sure why – I woke up on my own at about 7am and looked again at the alarm and it appears to be set right. Weird. I will do it tonight when I get home from work.
Do you have any DVD’s that
totally kick your butt?
Beck Diet: Experiment 2
I did Experiment 1 last week. I’m going to do Experiment 2 & 3 this week and will recap my thoughts the following day. Experiment 2 is today.
- Experiment 2: Prove to yourself that hunger isn’t an emergency
I’m excited for this experiment because I’ve caught myself plenty of times allowing myself to justify eating something crappy or unhealthy just because God forbid I might feel a little hunger! I’ll let you know my thoughts tomorrow!
And speaking of tomorrow, you have until
8pm CT tonight to enter and win some
chocolaty yum Fiber One 90 Calorie Bars!
