Hi bloggies! Happy Tuesday! I’m trying to decide when I want to blog. When I blog in the mornings, I feel like I miss out on telling you stuff that’s happened during the day, and when I blog at night, I feel like I’ve kept you hanging all day (right, like you’re just DYING to read my blabber ALL day! Haha) So, I’m working on finding a good time. Sometimes it’s hard to do in the middle of the day. We shall see. :) Now, on to the blabbering….

I’m in it to win it this year (or, more specifically, lose it, I suppose.. ;) . I’ve been doing good with my eating and getting in my work outs. Check out this yummy lunch I had yesterday:

Turkey, 1 slice of cheese, lettuce, green peppers and yellow mustard all in a pita pocket. YUM. It actually held me over pretty well too. I think that little gem will be returning to my lunch menu in the near future. :)

For breakfast this morning, I decided to try something out of the HungryGirl cookbook I got for Christmas (200 Under 200). I decided to go with the Choco-Monkey Oatmeal and a glass of milk:
The verdict? Yummy! And so filling. And so under 200 calories! (minus the glass of milk) Score! I’m still getting used to the whole consistency thing with the oatmeal. But I’ve switch to real oats rather than the instant stuff and I can tolerate it SO much more.

So, food has been okay. Now how about my workouts…? Going well! Remember yesterday, how I was talking about meeting my lovely boyfriend at the gym after I got off of work…? Yeah… that didn’t happen…. for him! He decided to get dinner ready instead, which was fine. I sent Jen a text telling her how I really, really, REALLY didn’t want to go to the gym, but that I was going to anyways. So, she says she’ll be there too, great! Then, she invites me to her personal training appointment with her…. sure! Why not!

The results: OUCH. Today I am sooooore! But in a good way – but SORE. :) You know the feeling! It was a legs day for her, so I got to suffer through that enjoy that with her, compliments of her evil friend personal trainer. Haha All kidding aside, it was a great legs work out. The kind that will leave me sore for a few days. Stairs today… I’m avoiding them at all costs. I made sure to thank Jen last night, as I knew today I would be cursing her name!

Well, I’m going to wrap this up as I’m getting long winded, I’ll just leave you with a few pictures since I’ve been a slacker lately…

Here’s me with my new darker, shorter hair… one of the many pros to having a stylist in the family!
(what do you guys think…? I’m still getting used to it, it’s…. DARK!)

And, one of my little peanut, Dexter. He was watching me eat my oatmeal this morning… I think he wants some… :) Seriously, how cute is he!? (Haha I may be a little biased – I just adore him!)

Have a good day, friends!
