Hi guys! Happy Wednesday! I just have a few things to talk about today… weight loss related..? Well, uhh, not so much.
Last night was my late shift at work. I work one night a week. So on Tuesdays – I pack my lunch and dinner. Well, I didn’t have a chance to pack my dinner because SOMEONE (aka the PUPPY!) deiced that when I let him out yesterday morning, he was going to take off! Arg! Lately, we haven’t been putting him on his leash since it’s so cold out, he just does hi business and inside we go. Not yesterday. Nope! Yesterday, I let him out right before I was going to leave to have one last potty break before he was locked up until Adam got home. Well, Dex decided this would be the perfect opportunity to RUN from me – and why not – since I decided to wear a SKIRT and BOOTS yesterday to work! Darn dog! So, I chase him through the snow to our front door and finally get him. I figure I’ll just go in the front door since we’re up there. Well, of course, the front door is locked since I brought him out our back door. So, I had to trudge back through the snow in my heels and skirt. I was a little irritated. Good thing he’s cute!
Needless to say, I didn’t have time to grab both lunch AND dinner. So, on my lunch, my friend and I walked through the skyways over to Target and I bought a SmartOne flatbread. Let me tell you: NOT GOOD! For 310 calories, I’d MUCH rather “spend” it on something else. I don’t know, it tasted burnt to me… even though I warmed it as directed on the package. I don’t think I’ll be buying this one again!
What are your “go-to” quick lunches/dinner?
I’m not much of a cook (I want to be! But, I’m just not there yet!) So Any ideas on quick meals I can take to work, I’ll appreciate! Thanks in advance!
So, back to the “naughty puppy”. Adam and I are HOPING this little naughty streak ceases soon – why? Because our little guy begins PUPPY CLASS tonight! I’m so excited to take him! I am, however, a little nervous that he is going to be the “bad kid in class”! Haha He’s not that bad, I’m just exaggerating. He’s just being a puppy.
We’re hoping this training helps us as much as it helps him. Adam and I have no clue where to even begin training a puppy! So, we’re very much looking forward to it. His class will run for an hour, once a week, for 8 weeks. I’m pretty excited. Now, tell me, how come I can find the money to spend on puppy classes… but not on a trainer for myself!? Haha! Okay, okay, puppy classes are WAY, WAAAAAY cheaper than a personal trainer, but I still feel like a dingy bettering our dog and not myself! Well, I take that back, I’m working on me!
On a plus side, I have been VERY GOOD about tracking my calories. I have been tracking everything, which is good for me, since I hadn’t been. Trust me, it’s VERY hard to get back into a routine when you stop doing it. So, just DON’T STOP! If you are counting calories, or WW points or whatever, even when you hate it, just don’t stop! It’s so hard to get back to it! Trust me! Please, use me as an example so you don’t have to put yourself through this!
