The Day My Life Changed...

I started on my journey in August of 2007. For two years I fought, kicked and cried my way through losing 90+lbs. I was well on my way to hitting an official 100lbs lost by August 1st, 2009 which was my 2 year anniversary. I was planning a big 'ol celebration around here... until my life changed the evening before my final weigh-in. (Click here for more info).

Join me now, as I reevaluate my priorities, struggle to find out what "healthy" is while dealing with an emotional trauma, and continue to learn how to live a healthy life, no sugar coating included.

Boo Hoo

Hi friends! How was your weekend?

Mine was great! On Friday night after work, I went to the gym and saw my trainer just sitting at his desk. As I walked past, I made small talk and asked if he was bored. He responded quickly and said his client didn't show up. I bantered back with "Oh, well come-on, lets go! How bout we do an impromptu session?"

Oh man, I was so sore by the time I left him I could barely lift my arms to drink outta my water bottle. I followed up my impromptu session by waking up and doing a spin class on Saturday followed by what else, ANOTHER TRAINING SESSION!

I tell ya, I started the weekend off with a serious workout BANG! And it felt great! Saturday evening we met up with our friends Toby & David for a movie (Couples Retreat = HILARIOUS) and then dinner at P.F. Changs.

I had a spring roll (un-pictured)
and some Won Ton Soup.

It was delish, I swear! I was having such a great time. We got home around 9:30pm and I fell asleep on the couch (er...ah...maybe from the Mhia Tia I had?) when I woke up at around 11:30pm, I was a mess! I was so congested, stuffed nose, and feeling so horrible! Is it possible for a cold to take a day off and come back with a vengeance?

Sunday I woke up feeling a little better and we went about our day. As we drove from place to place, I would take little naps in the car.

Now here it is Monday and my head feels like its about to explode, am coughing and my nose is somehow stuffed up yet running. EH. BOO HOO!!! I hate not going to work - I feel so far behind!

I die a little inside every time you go out to eat at a chair restaurant when we have SO MANY AMAZING RESTAURANTS here in Minneapolis.

Also, yes, totally possible to have a day off from a cold. It happens to me all the time and I feel totally defeated and fooled!

I was recently sick with a cold and really stuffed up. I broke down and tried a netti pot which a few of my friend talked about as did Dr Oz. I felt SO much better after just one use and my cold was over very quickly. I highly recommend going to Walgreens or CVS and getting one!

Feel better! I've had that happen - you start feeling better, you push yourself and go out and then BAM, you're back to feeling poopy. I'm sorry it happened to you.

I love me some won ton soup. Yuuum. :)
