Hey friends!
Whew! Holidays are still a killer for me. Being “newer” to my healthiness journey – this was the first Christmas that I had to be on some sort of plan… the only thing…? Well, I wasn’t. I was kind of a loose cannon ball! But, hey, ya win some, ya lose some. Stepping on the scale the last few days I see a gain. But it’s not “officially-official” until it’s Friday morning at about 6am. We’ll see what the damage was.
(sorry, it’s not like I’m smiling because there may have been some damage – I’m smiling because I know that it’s okay. I can, and I WILL, pick myself up from this and continue on)
That’s the difference between the “old me” and the “new me”. The old me would say, “eh, well, I screwed that one up – let’s just go crazy!!!” The new me says, “Eh, my eating wasn’t so hot those past few days and I’ll probably regret it once I’m on the scale on Friday, but ya know what…? It’s okay because I can pick it all up and start fresh today, no need to throw in the towel” (yeah, the new me is a little long winded) Haha
My Christmas was amazing. It was busy. Adam and I were running from here to there and it was kind of crazy. But I had a lot of fun. The food – A-MAZING.
Santa was pretty good to me this year. Like I keep saying, you know you’re getting old when you ask for things like a filing cabinet and get REALLY excited when you actually get one! Haha yes, I did ask for a filing cabinet and yes I did get one and YES I was really excited about it. Haha
I got a few fun things too. I got some really cute photo books from my sisters, some cute jewelry from my little sister, Katie and her girlfriend Ana, as well as The Hungry Girl Cookbook (200 under 200) – I already have tons of recipes marked to try! I’m excited. I also got a gift card from my older sister, Jessica, to New York & Company – one of my favorite stores! I’m excited to go shopping.
Adam and I also got a wet-vac thingy… Haha and a Crock-Pot. Getting useful things for Christmas is pretty cool. I remember in years past I would make fun of Adam for asking for “stupid things”, but this year, I take it allll back!
What did you guys get from Santa this year…? Were you on the “naughty” or “nice” list…?
My best gift this year…? No surprise, it’s DEXTER! The cute little guy that Adam and I bought for each other. I seriously love my little smooshy face. Haha
I got my little sister Taylor Swift tickets – so that’s kind of a present for me too since I get to go with her! I’m really excited, too bad we have to wait alllllll the way until MAY! She was pretty pumped about it though and that’s what I was hoping for.
Well, I hope you guys all stick around I have some big news (and maybe even BIGGER news) on Friday. Check back!
Have a great day guys! I hope you had a great Christmas.
xoxo
Lindsay
