….my job today. Oh man, it was bittersweet giving my boss my two week notice. I really do love the people I work with. And I love the company. I just don’t like my job. And obviously I had tried to find other positions within the company and it just didn’t happen, so I feel like I made the right move. It’s just bittersweet. My boss congratulated me and gave me a hug and just told me that I have to do what’s best for me. And I agree with her. It wasn’t a surprise to her at all, and it shouldn’t be. So, that’s out of the way. It’s hard, but it’s necessary.
Wow, does it feel good to be blogging again! I’ve missed you guys. I have millions of posts to catch up on, so it’s good to be back and stalking reading all of your posts again.
HOLEY DONUTS! And let me tell you, HOLEY YUMMY! She did send me off with a warning too. I promised I wouldn’t eat them all in one sitting.
But I HAD to try one last night…

Not gonna lie, I was a tad skeptical. How can low calorie donuts taste good!? I don’t know, but they sure do! I warmed that little puppy up in the microwave and had it as my after dinner dessert. Yum-o! And for around 150 calories – what a great alternative! Thanks Jen! I’m pretty sure you’ve started me on a naughty NOT SO naughty little addiction.
Well, if you’ve been following me, you know that I’ve pretty much maintained my weight during my move. I’m so beyond pleased with that, I can’t even begin to describe it. BEFORE my healthy lifestyle journey began, I would pretty much be guaranteed to gain like, 5 pounds during a time as stressful as that. But this time, I didn’t gain at all. I lost. My measly, lovely, well-earned 0.4 pounds.
How did I do it…? I just made conscience decisions to TRY to eat healthier… and if there were healthy foods available, I made a conscience effort to STOP eating when I was full. Everything in moderation. I didn’t work out ONCE last week, which isn’t anything to brag about – but I was doing a lot of moving around OUTSIDE the gym, I guess that paid off. Speaking of gyms, I’m thinking about switching. The gym I used to go to is a good 25 minutes away from my new house. I’ve thought about joining the gym where Jen works out (only about 10 minutes away)…. don’t tell her this, but that kind of scares me… the Prior Fat Girl would know if I were skipping out on the gym! Haha Oh wait! That could be a really good thing!
(PS – just kidding, Jen, not scared of you…! Haha)
So, on top of moving, changing jobs and still trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle, I’d say I have kind of a lot on my plate right now… What do you do when faced with stressful situations…? How do you keep on the right track to live healthy?
Still lots going on around my house, still some unpacking to do, and no Internet until Wednesday, so I will be checking in as often as I can. I hope you all had a great week last week, I missed you guys!
xoxo
Lindsay
