4th of July Trip

by Lindsay, another priorfatgirl on July 22, 2009

omg! Let me first stay out by saying, “Holy CRAP! I am a terrible blogger!!!” I’m sorry. It’s been like 3 weeks! I suck, and I will work on blogging better. Moving on…

Last time I posted, I had mentioned that my boyfriend and I were going to Wisconsin Dells for the 4th… we did and it was fun. Here are some pics from the trip:

Here’s my boyfriend, we’re just getting into the Dells…

Here’s me, during a game of mini-golf on our first night in Wisconsin… looking chunk-a-licious! Ugh.

And of course, the boyfriend looking cute as ever…

Aanndd both of us, I won!! :)

And the winner got a free ice cream from the little shop at the end of the course, I picked rainbow sherbet, I figured it was better than ALL OUT ice cream……

And, the nutritional ingredients from my winning sherbet:
Hahahahaha Hilarious. And DELICIOUS!

I was surprised though, the weigh in after our trip – I didn’t gain. I’m guessing it has to do with all the walking we did, because here is what we snacked on:

Chips! Evil chips – that I have no self control over! Adam got me kettle chips – they are delicious, but I just cannot stop myself! Evil (delicious) chips! And, weird boyfriend. :)

I TRIED to eat SOMEWHAT okay while on our trip. But since we were camping, it’s not like I have access to all that is healthy. We did the standard, hot dogs, s’mores (so healthy, right!? Haha), and we brought lunch meat, etc to make sandwiches. So… oh well, it was vacation and I didn’t gain afterwards… weird.

This was my standard breakfast during the trip:

Grapes and a WW muffin – which, by the way, I didn’t think was that spectacular.

At least my breakfast was better than Adam’s which consisted of:
MONSTER! …and maybe a few grapes/muffin if he felt like it! Haha So, at least I didn’t do THAT! :)

Saturday, we went to Noah’s Ark – America’s Largest Water Park. That was A LOT of fun. TONS of walking and swimming. It was such a fun day, and us, being the “thrifty” people that we are (ok, not usually) found a buy one get one free admission pass for the water park, so the WHOLE day at the park only cost us $37. Nice! Here’s a pic of me in front of one of the wave pools:

We took tons of pics of the water slides and stuff, but I’m not going to post them all, it was a water park, you get the idea. :)
After the water park, we went and had some really bad for you pizza that was absolutely delicious… I did however, get sick that night… too much of a good thing maybe… I don’t know, but sleeping in the tent with a tummy ache was not fun. Anyways, of course, since Saturday was the 4th – we went and watched some fire works after dinner:

It was PACKED with people watching the fireworks, they were actually pretty good. I don’t know, I sometimes get a little bored at fireworks, I figure – once you’ve seen them once, you’ve seen them all. I dunno, it was still fun.

Sunday we packed up and headed home. But before we made the 3 and a half hour drive back home, we stopped and walked on the river walk… or whatever it was called. It was beautiful:

We had a really good trip and we’ve talked about going back later this summer, but we’ll have to wait and see on that one because last week I put an offer in on a townhouse… so I’m playing the waiting game to see if I got it! Keep your fingies crossed for me! :)

Anyways, sorry again about being a horrible blogger, I’ll try better. I also need to make better food choices, it has not been going well. ::sigh…::

Until next time!

xoxo
Lindsay
